Oscar Daniels worked eleven years as an intelligence analyst with the National Security Agency (NSA), where he intercepted and analyzed foreign communications for senior U.S. policymakers.

After leaving government service, he attended the American Film Institute (AFI), where he wrote and directed the short film Among Thieves, which won the 2007 Showtime Networks Black Filmmaker Showcase and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.  

Oscar has worked as the senior editor on Jim Rome is Burning (ESPN) and also edited numerous independent feature films, including the Sundance Jury Award-winning documentary Dig!.

Oscar participated in NBC’s 2007 Diversity Writers Showcase and recently completed a two-year program at Writers Boot Camp. He is currently in the ABC Talent Development Fellowship, where he has been shadowing on Desperate Housewives, Greek, Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy.
